Getting Started--Instructions
Send a Letter into the Future!!
Sent From The Past welcomes you. Now let's get started.
First decide
on the person you'll write to.
Then decide on the date you want the letter sent. Keep in mind that they will receive the letter
2-5 days after the date you select. You may choose any date up to 15 years from now.
Fill out and sign both copies of the
contract. On the copy for Sent From The Past, you have the option of providing 2 alternate addresses. Try to pick addresses
of people who aren't likely to move anytime soon and who would still be in contact with your intended recipient.
Next, write the recipient's address on the front of the matching envelope.
Write your letter.
Don't let yourself believe that the letter has to be perfect—this will lead to procrastination. Maybe write a few
ideas down on a sheet of paper and then just start writing on the stationery. (For more specific ideas and tips on writing
go to www.sentfromthepast.comwww.sentfromthepast.com
Fold
the letter and slip it inside the matching envelope. Since the postage has been pre-calculated and storage requirements are
standardized, please do not include any thing other
than the three sheets of stationery.
Secure the envelope
flap with the gold privacy seal.
Place into the large return envelope (already addressed to Sent From The Past):
A. The sealed letter
B. The signed contract
with the two additional addresses. (it is not required that you provide alternate addresses, but it is strongly encouraged.)
9. Fill in the return address section, which includes the
Letter's Activation Date as
well as your current address.
10. Drop it in the mail and you're done. Can you think of anyone
else
you'd like to write to? Or someone who would
love to do this? Stop
